Music...

Little Miss had her first piano lesson with Mummy yesterday.

She is very excited!

She has been popping in to the piano to practice ever since.

On another musical note this video is very cool...

First day of school...

I think the look on his face sums up how he felt about it...

a little anxious, a little pensive, a little sad...

The other one was super excited - 

didn't even want us to stay!

What a fabulous change from previous years!

An angel...

Athletics Carnival...

Little Miss had her Athletics Carnival at school this week.

She did ball games and races.

She came third in her race!!

Yay!!

Magic tricks...

Our friend, Little Miss E, came to play last week after school. 

They decided to put on a magic show.

Various people disappeared and reappeared!

Then her Daddy showed up and taught them how to make a coin disappear too!

They were thrilled!

Photo editing...

I was having a chat the other day about photo editing,

and reminded myself that I hadn't yet played with Picnik.

I came across Picnik on a few blogs and comments lately.

So I checked it out and made this cute shot in about 10 minutes of playing.

I did some cropping, played with the colour a little,

made it look like a Polaroid, added the flower border,and finally the title.

I saved it to my computer, but it was interesting trying to upload it to the blog...

it wanted to turn it sideways for some reason - not sure why!

So I went back to my usual free photo software, Picasa,

and made it into a collage (like I usually do for blog photos ;)

Looks like I'll have to play with Picnik some more yet!

Barnyard flu...

Little Miss was in a class play this week.

The play was about a farmer and her farm animals.

When they all got sick, she called in the doctor and nurse to check them out.

They had the "barnyard flu"!

So they made them soup and they all got better ;)

Very cute!

Maybe the barnyard flu is what we've got here at home too?...

Cross Country...

Little Miss ran the school Cross Country yesterday - What a Star!
